Welcome to New Hope United Methodist Church!  We are pleased to have you visit our web site.  Please feel welcome to visit with us in person, too.  New Hope UMC is a delightful, historic church founded in 1795 in the beautiful Pomaria countryside of Newberry County, South Carolina. 

 

We stand on the shoulders of generations of church members who built our foundations and today we continue the work of bringing individuals closer to our Lord.  We worship together and encourage each other on our journey ... and we encourage you on your journey.  We experience the Christian faith through an active community of faith. 

 

At New Hope, you will discover people and programs which work together to help us know the Holy Spirit, grow and serve as disciples of Jesus Christ, and live the life God has called us to live.  We invite you to come and be a part of the ministry and family of New Hope UMC.
